• So I have been working on setting up my website for the last few weeks (no real content there yet). Today I went to my URL and got the following message against a black screen:

    —————————-

    Hacked By Explo!T3r

    Iranian Hacker Are The Best

    No Security !

    Fuck All Arab

    —————————

Ummm, what happened? What should I do?

  • Yeah. I had this too.

It didn’t affected at my website functioning at all. Checked every file with some malware and virus scanner, and it was ok.

Please install the newest version of Wordfence to avoid this in future.
WP all in one security could be useful too.

I can still log into my administrator dashboard, BTW.

Thanks, justicef. I installed Wordfence and it helped me fix the problem.

I still don’t know why this happened, though, or how to prevent it from happening again. (I am an extreme newbie to the world of website security.) Could someone explain like I’m five?

It simply happened because you had no (or inadequate) security plugins on your website, and a hacker was able to get through. Sad that people do this.

I also recommend iThemes security (I use it in tandem with Wordfence with no problems). The free version has more than enough functionality to secure your site.

Thanks, Melissa_McWilliams, I will check out iThemes security. I agree it’s sad – so pointless!

my website is also hacked by the same hacker…..
please tell me how to restore the website???
