    Well.
I installed Wordfence, and got hacked anyway.
Not sure whether or not to trust it anymore.
A defacement hack by the look of it.
Yet, when I run a full scan, it tells me all is OK.
    WTF?
    Any suggetions?

  • Hi yellowdog,
It’s not possible for anyone to say why you were hacked without doing a proper forensic analysis of the evidence on your site (files, logs, database setup etc.) Often when we see sites get hacked despite having Wordfence, or we see them getting hacked repeatedly it’s because of a vulnerability on the server.

If the scan is clean but you see evidence of hack on the frontend, that would actually point in that direction. Sounds like someone is modifying the content in your database probably via another hacked site on the same server, or something along those lines.

I recommend you reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to help you establish how the site was hacked.

    Best of luck for now.
