hacked again ? "Error establishing database connection"

  • website has been hacked about 3 weeks ago buy a seo / website developer guy. he hacked into my email, WordPress, etc did some damage to the website so I would hire him to fix the problems.

    I changed all passwords I could think of, emails, logins to hosting.
    but he probaly had a keylogger installed on my pc somehow:

    today my website doesn’t load, just gives this error:

    “error establishing a database connection”

    is it hacked somehow again ? or something happened with cpanel / WordPress ?
    at first after I recovered my password and login thru cpanel and changed it it was working fine after it.
    but now this problem.

    The likelihood of that being a hack is slim. Check you wp-config.php file and ensure that the database connection details are correct. If they are, ask your hosting provider why your database server is offline.

    When your site is back, just to be safe, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    thank you. fixed it.

    now just gotta figure out why check outs / shopping carts don’t work
