Hacked? Add/remove files in FTP, but no change

  • Have I been hacked? I can add files in my FTP manager or remove them as I please, but it doesn’t show any change on my site. I did a manual upgrade, but it didn’t do anything. I’m not sure if the problems are related, but I also can’t upload photos, change any .css in the Theme Editor. I’m beginning to think my files aren’t hosted where I think they are – could someone have moved them? What is most strange is I’ve been using WordPress since 2008 and this is the first time I’ve run into problems like this.
