Hacked

  • Our header where it says Home and About (theme Twenty Eleven), someone has put several obnoxious dirty words. We don’t know how to get of them. We are not coders or programmers. We would hate to take the site down but we can’t have those words there. Help please. Thank you

  • I am sorry to hear your site is damaged. Do you or your hosting company have a full backup of your site? The fastest and most sure way to repair your site is to restore from a backup made before the hack.

    Without a backup your only permanent solution is to repair the site. Follow this guide.

    When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    Thank you for responding so fast. Looks like this is going to take us some time.

    One thing, I have an ad lock on my computer so I don’t see the words. The other person doesn’t and they see the words. Wondering if that might narrow things down?
