• They get two stars because of all the great features, no stars because of the hack. This plugin worked fine for a few months. Now all it does is use my website to ping porn sites. I’ve banned hundreds of IP addresses this past week. I will be deleting it and using a comparable one.

  • Respectfully, you are most definitely mistaken – tawk.to is used by over 1.5Million users globally, we do not ping any sites what-so-ever.

We would highly suggest you check your site for a hack, as the issue you describe, has absolutely nothing to do with this application.

If you need help getting to the bottom of it feel free to email our support, or initiate a chat on our site 24×7-365.

What probably happened was that after you were hacked, the hacker put malicious code inside the plugin. Try deleting and re-installing the plugin again to see if the issue persists? You will still be hacked of course.

Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

@kingdingbat There is nothing report worthy about this review. I have removed your tag.
