HAAALP! Can’t edit my theme!

  • Hello
    I can log on as admin but when I try to edit my theme I get “Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage” and the edits to not take place.

    I noticed I needed to upgrade so I did (from 2.6) but the problem is still happening. Help! This website is for my state representative and I just need to tweak her theme a bit.

    I checked the CHMOD of the sidebar.php file that I’m trying to set it to 666. That should allow me to edit it!?!?

    Any advice? Everything was working fine a few days ago and now I’m getting this error! Please help!

    in my haste I had a typo…

    also I just tried it on firefox and got

    “the connection was reset
    the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading
    the site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy.
    blah blah…”
