• Hi

Since we updated to WordPress 5.6 two weeks ago, H5P content has not been displaying in the front end. Has anybody experienced similar problems, and does anyone have any idea how we can fix this?

The linked page shows an example of the problems. The words “now take this quiz” should be followed by H5P content.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi Andy!

I don’t think you’ll reach a larger audience here compared to the forum where you already seem to have posted: https://h5p.org/comment/38987#comment-38987. Again: I am running multiple WordPress 5.6 instances including H5P without any problems, so the cause is probably somewhere on your platform.

On your site, H5P doesn’t even seem to be loaded at all, so it appears the shortcode might not be interpreted correctly – and rumor has it that some other plugins or themes may cause this.

Have you tried to deactivate the Eduma theme and other plugins (see BV’s suggestion at https://h5p.org/comment/38871#comment-38871) in order to narrow down the cause?

    Best,

Thanks again Oliver. We too think that the issue may be with the short code. Reinstalling H5P hasn’t fixed the issue, but we’ll try Eduma and then other plugins.

I installed jquery migrate and depreciated jquery to 1.12 and this seems to fix the problem until we find a more permanent solution. It seems to blame Learnpress compatibility with jquery newer version…

@mrmikemjt Good to know! H5P provides its own patched version of jQuery, so I’m not sure where you fixed the issue, but I am glad it’s working.
