h1 title tag usage

  • First of all I would like to say – Thank You Theme Horse team for your work, I really like this theme.

    BUT…

    I’m new to WordPress, maybe I’m wrong, but there is one thing that I don’t understand. The h1 tag usage in this theme.

    For the every page or even blog post that I created h1 tag is used in branding header for the sites name or even image – sites logo. What is the point of using h1 in this way? Shouldn’t h1 be used as unique value for every static page and blog post? I would agree that this solution would be just fine for main blog posts page, but what about business type front page or static pages, contact page or single blog post?

    I think rewriting page title by some seo plugin isn’t enough, it doesn’t change the fact that in my case all sites pages would use the same logo as Heading1

    The question is how to fix it?

  • Hi there,

    Open in an editor header-extensions.php (located in attitude/library/structure).

    Search for ‘<hgroup id=”site-logo”>’.

    Replace ‘<h1 id=”site-title”>’ cu ‘<p id=”site-title”>’ . ‘Don’t forget to change also the closing tag from </h1> to </p>’
