Hi there, just ran neil platels website audit and all my wordpress pages do not have a H1 tag.

    Example:
    https://ajphotography.eu/blog/page/10/
    https://ajphotography.eu/blog/page/11/
    https://ajphotography.eu/blog/page/12/

    overview: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o0cgd8m1i8bshup/Screenshot%202020-05-05%2011.19.56.jpg?dl=0

All the blog pages do not have a H1 tag. My individual pages do (confusing different types of pages). So for example, homepage does have H1 tag, portfolio has a H1 tag, contact has a h1 tag. My individual blog posts also have an H1 tag

Pages without a H1 tag are not good for SEO.
    Question 1:
Can I add the H1 tag to all those blog pages? If so, how can I do this?

    Question 2:
If I cannot add the H1 tag to all those blog pages, I see a setting in Yoast called “Show Pages in search results?”. It is now set to YES. I can switch it to NO. In doing so, will my homepage, contact and portfolio be taken out the search engine results? Or will only the blog pages be removed?

    Question 3:
And I also see that those same pages have duplicate title tags,..uhhh Could Yoast fix this?

    These are my yoast settings:

Thank you for the advice guys

    Hi @ajphoto,

    1) Can I add the H1 tag to all those blog pages? If so, how can I do this?
We see that the tool is reporting that you don’t have H1 header tags in your blog archive pages like this one.

The types of headers that are displayed on your site are controlled by your theme. In this case, your theme is not including H1 tags for those pages. However, these archive pages are there to display your posts in a chronological order and do not have any actual content that would need to have titles with H1 tags. In this case, this warning can be ignored.

You can find more information on how to use headings on your site here

    2) If I cannot add the H1 tag to all those blog pages, I see a setting in Yoast called “Show Pages in search results?”. It is now set to YES. I can switch it to NO. In doing so, will my homepage, contact and portfolio be taken out the search engine results? Or will only the blog pages be removed?

Changing that setting to “No” will add a “noindex” tag to all of the Pages (the post type called Pages) on your site. This will affect all the pages you can see here, which we think is not the best option.

As mentioned in point 1 above, it’s safe to ignore this warning from the audit tool.
