• Is it possible to set up a WP site so that all created H tags automatically created as URL. I need it to send site visitors to a specific place in another page (same site) rather than sending them to the top of the page.

If automatic URL’s are not available, how can I send site visitors to a specific header on another page (on the same site).

    Thanks in advance

P.S. I saw this feature on Google Sites. It’s great for SEO.

  • Can you show the example on Google Sites? I’m not sure what I should understand by what you describe.

    threadi, thank you for responding.

On the page there is an H2 header “Our services include, but are not limited to:” If you hover over the header you can see that you can copy the link to this header. Now, with the link, you can direct visitors from other websites directly to a proper place on this site. It’s very useful for pages with multiple sections.

In Google Sites every Header (H1, H2, etc.) automatically gets assigned a link.

Now I understand what you mean. For the time being, I don’t see any added value in terms of SEO. The link could also be used if you link the whole title. That would already be possible with WordPress, at least if you use the block editor to edit your page.

Apart from that, your request would probably only be realisable by customising either your template or extending the editor you use for your website. I am not aware of any plugin that makes this possible.
