    Hi Guys!

    Running some audits and we found that Gzip is not registering. We are running on a Litespeed server and it seems to be working ok and have run some external checks (https://checkgzipcompression.com/ etc.) to make sure gzip is indeed running, which apparently it is.

    Any idea why Hummingbird is not registering it as being active?

    Cheers!

  • Hi @gerard70,

    Hummingbird should detect that Gzip compression for HTML and CSS is enabled. If it is not detected properly, please click on the ‘re-check status’ button. Compression for JS is not active on your site. You can verify that by checking any js file in https://checkgzipcompression.com/ To enable it, you can copy/past the required rules to the .htaccess file

    Best regards,
    Anton

    Hi Dimitris,

    So sorry! We got it sorted and it’s all goo now. We had to rework the a setting in the Litespeed admin – was a tricky one because none of the usual suggestions worked.

    @gerard70

    Do you mind sharing what setting you changed to get it working?
    I’m experiencing a similar problem.

    Thanks

    @lenineto, are you on a Litespeed server? Our issues were directly tied to that.
