• I just updated my WordPress to 5.0.2 and my theme (Twenty Seventeen to 1.9) and was creating a new page. I noted that in the “Page Attribute” block, Guttenberg did not show the “Parent” option, only the “Order” of the page. Interestingly, after publishing the page and editing it with the “quick edit” dialogue, I could properly set up the “Parent” option of the page.

What am I missing in my website? Could it possible be a bug on Guttenberg?

  • @hugomilan – You may have found something there. Although for the most part I was not able to reproduce this, I am seeing on some sites that the Page Attribute section does not always show the option to select a Parent page unless you click on its title bar a few times. Once it appears, it apparently continues to work as expected?!

@cais: I tried clicking on the title bar a few times and Parent page did not show up. I’m still only able to change Parent Page atribute when I do a quick edit.

@hugomilan – I may not have been clear on the item to click. Try clicking the “Page Attribute” section title a few times.

@cais: I tried that but still nothing.
