Gutenburg – content flow that spans blocks
-
It would be helpful to be able to allow content to flow on to another block, either because it gets too large for the present block, or because the page and other (following) pages are designed to adapt to varying lengths of content.
The user would be asked to designate a block as the “next” block for the content of the “previous” block. All blocks that are available for holding a continuous piece of content can be listed, and their locations identified.
(e.g. front page story continues on page ??, text areas around pictures of a pictorial storybook). The main application is for text. But it would be interesting to see what happens if pictures get spread/chopped like this.
Or audio commentaries, as pages are served up to the visitor like a slideshow (e.g. domes and tutorials).
