Gutenberg YouTube Block Not Displaying in Posts Only

  • I have embedded a YouTube video in a blog post in the new Gutenberg block editor. In the post backend, the embedded YouTube video block looks perfect… but when I publish it and look at the live post, only the YouTube video caption appears.
    EXAMPLE: coursenvy .com/coinbase

    NOTE: It is JUST not working on blog posts. When I embed YouTube videos into new pages, they do appear on the live website page.

    It looks like this issue has been around for allmost two years.

    In my case embeding youtube, with the youtube block or embeded in html, does not work when using the latest posts block.
    But it works when I use the youtube block or embed youtube code in the html block in a page or menu linked to postings, and in the postings itself.

    Perhaps about time to get this sorted out as embeding youtube content in post is soemthing that sould be workig out of the box.

    Using the alternate link (ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=*****) did not work for me.
    This embed was fine when I looked at the page a few months ago, and now it is no good.
    I have not been able to work around the problem.

    Encountered this problem today on two different pages of my site.
    The link https://youtu.be/xxxxxxx produced video in editor but not live (just the linktext there).
    The link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxx did the trick for me (for now????)

    Hope this gets sorted out soon, does not feel reliable for such a basic feature.

    I just notice this issues can be fixed by replace “/watch?v” with embed path. Please take a look in the below example

    original Youtubet url:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YouR-Url-HerE

    modified for Block content:
    https://www.youtube.com/embed/YouR-Url-HerE

    your modified url can be pasted on the Youtube Block directly

    Hope you find this as workaround solution
