    Hi,

I have installed the WP 5.5 upgrade this morning. When I have both Yoast SEO 14.7 and the current Gutenberg plugin (v8.7.1) active, my WP admin dashboard is broken. Pull-downs and pop-ups will no longer work etc.

No issues on the editing page (new post), though.

For the time being, I have deactivated the Gutenberg plugin.

    Best wishes,
    Thomas

  • Hi @thomascloer,

We are sorry to hear about the issues you’re having after updating the WP to 5.5 that broke Gutenberg editor with Yoast v14.7 being activated. I can imagine this is frustrating.

Just to clarify, are you seeing any JavaScript errors in your browser console when Gutenberg+Yoast is activated? To know how to check the errors, please refer:??How to find JavaScript errors with your browser’s console?

In addition to this, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins (except Gutenberg) and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

We look forward to hearing from you.
