SAAS has had WordPress in it’s sights for the last decade and a half. Massive leaps into the future have been made for editing experiences on other SAAS platforms like WIX, clickfunnels, and shopify that have made WordPress unappealing to internet “Newbies” since they can go elsewhere for a quicker and more intuitive site building experience.

Gutenberg is what is going to make WordPress the default choice going forward for beginner web designers, bloggers, and entrepreneurs that do not have time to learn the nuance of WordPress but are rather focused on the day to day activity of surviving.

I’m excited for the WP team bringing WordPress into the future.

No one likes change even if it is for the better, however if there is one thing the WordPress community never ceases to show it is the ability to adapt to new and complex situations regardless of politics, beliefs, or outraged opinions.

  • Ummm there are about 50 far more advanced editor plugins for wp already. This is superfluous and poorly built.
