Gutenberg update crashes site then content disappears

Hi there,

I am having problems with the Gutenberg plugin: it updated automatically last week and the site crashed. After removing the plugins and putting them back one by one I realized it was Gutenberg that was causing the problems.

So I replaced it with an older version that I had in a backup of the site, but now when I open a page in WP-Admin the page content doesn’t display – just the title and the “add content” icon and the rest is blank. The content still displays in the live page on the site.

Has anyone had this problem? Is there a simple fix?
