• So now that Gutenberg is installed in WordPress and the Classic Editor is now a plugin, is it ok to delete the Gutenberg plugin? I’m assuming that all the bases are covered now with just WordPress and Block plugin as far as regular use. I’m sure there will be bugs to work out still, but Gutenberg plugin is not required if we are all up to date, yes?

  • Yes, you can delete the Gutenberg plugin. The reason why it is still in development and able to remain active is that there will be new stages demoed in the plugin before being folded into core. But if you are happy to wait for the new features, by all means, feel free to delete.
