• On this page, you need to click open the first accordion block ‘The Climate and Global Warming – the Science’ and then the one inside that ‘Carbon Footprint, Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming’ to see the Embeds block I’m referring to .

For reasons unknown, it is obstinately placing the excerpt text below the image, but for the Embeds block I’m using in the accordion further down the page:

-> click on ‘Reducing our Impact, carbon footprint and other mitigation’
-> then on the inside of the accordion, click on ‘Carbon Offsetting’
-> see the Embeds block I mean – it’s nicely formatted with the content to the right.

Why is different? Can I control it? I would prefer the Embeds block to make itself fit to the wider screen, but I don’t want to start forcing it with CSS3 switches so it doesn’t impact the mobile layout, although I can if there’s no other option.

I prefer sticking to the native WP Embeds block – I’ve had some experiences with other Gutenberg block plugins just going bad.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi again,

I am facing a choice of relying on the WP Embeds block which has got some presentation issues that I just outlined (& others), and I’m not happy with the idea because it doesn’t look great, or I find some alternative block for this, which seems wrong and desperate, but at this point without getting any feedback on the Embeds block, it looks like the sensible option.

    Any advice?

    Thanks!

Anybody got any input on WP Embeds and controlling its layout?
