Gutenberg/editor search/filter to insert URL?

Are there plans to provide the ability to search for shortened links when inserting links in content, either in Gutenberg, blocks, visual editors? This would make it much easier and flexible.

Currently, one can search/autocomplete to insert links for existing website content (pages), I’d assume a shortened link could also be considered as searchable content?

Searching/filtering through editor widgets would also be useful with link preview plugins like VLP, which I’m also using in conjunction with your plugin. I’m currently copy-pasting from the plugin dashboard to the VLP widget, which isn’t very efficient.
