Gutenberg Editor and Make Theme

Hi. I switched to the Make theme from another theme I was previously using. Now that I am using the Make theme, when I go to the posts that I created using the other theme, I am able to edit those using the Gutenberg editor. When I create a NEW post, there is no option to create that post or edit that post using the Gutenberg editor. All new posts that I create are having to be created using the classic editor. As I said, I have no option available that would let me switch it to Gutenberg editor. Why can I use that editor with old posts but not new ones? Am I completely missing something?
