    Hello.

The plugin Post Snippets doesn’t display snippets (that worked for Classic Editior). The snippets are listed, can be chosen but aren’t displayed/rendered in the post after publishing nor in the preview. I have read, that people here have the same problem or similar, so I checked the checkbox “Shortcode” (=enabled) and I deleted all the snippets and created them new plus enabled “Shortcode”. Didn’t work. I also re-installed the plugin and tried the last time again. Didn’t work.

I cannot provide an URL, please provide your ideas, what I can try.

    Hi @aclys,

    Thanks for using the plugin,

Please make sure that you haven’t added any space between the snippet title. The snippet name should be like this “Test-Snippet” without any space “Test Snippet”.

    Thanks

Thanks for your answer. I have no spaces between letters or words in the snippet title.

I only get a Drop-Down-Menu to choose from in Gutenberg like.
    FirstSnippet
    SecondSnippet

And if selected nothing happens in the editor nor in the preview nor when released/published.

    Hi @aclys,

Can you please share the screenshot of the snippet content from the backend?

    Thanks

    Hi @aclys,

We are unable to reproduce the issue on your staging site. It would be great to open a support ticket on our official website so our technical team will assist you accordingly.

    Thanks

    Hi @arsalantariq,

I am sorry to hear that. I don’t know what’s different being supportive here or over there, on your website. I prefer to get advice or better a solution here. I don’t like leaving more data everywhere else, when it’s possible to do the same here. Support can come over here and check all what I have written and assist accordingly as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi @aclys,

We are still unable to replicate the issue on our staging site. Also, we have created a screencast video; please check the video.

    Thanks

@arsalantariq OK, I watched it. I never published a post. I can choose from a drop down list and maybe it would be displayed. BUT: In the classic editor the text was visible (after choosing the right snippet I want) and I could and need to edit it. It is no returning block with exactly the same text, it need to be changed for every post. That’s the error I was talking about. The video shows the problem, you can choose the snippet and it appears after publishing. But in the classic editor the post snippet could be edited, because the snippet was instantly displayed in the classic editor. In the Gutenberg editor it is only visible after publishing and I cannot edit beforehand.

    Hi @aclys,

It would be great if you share a screencast video of the issue so we will look into it.

@arsalantariq I can’t record and my explainaion of the problem is above.
The snippet I choose in the backend, need to be displayed “live” in the text field (like it was in the classic editor) and not only shown in the published article.
