I was wanting to set a fixed background image for the cover block, so I searched looking for a hack. Turns out there’s supposed to be a Media Settings section…! I don’t have this at all – I’ve been thinking all along it is just a very basic block. In fact, I have hardly any useful settings for this particular block. This is the case for multiple installations.

Any idea why I have a Cover Block without the entire Media Settings section, and how I can get all the settings to show?

Check out this article on cover block: https://gutenberghub.com/cover-image-block-overview-how-to-use-guide/ – don’t you see these options on your end?

Hi @threadi – thanks for your reply.

    No, no such options.

On multiple installations, I only have:
    COLOR
    – Overlay
    – Overlay Opacity

    TYPOGRAPHY
    – Font Size
    – Appearance
    – Line Height
    – Letter Spacing
    – Decoration
    – Line Height

    DIMENSIONS
    – Padding
    – Minimum Height Of Cover
    – Margin

    ADVANCED
    The usual advanced options.

That is literally all I have. Nothing to refine the image, which is the main point of the block.

And yes, all options available are unhidden. But I am missing entire sections (eg. Media Settings), not just sub-options.

    Any ideas are welcome.

Deactivate all plugins and change the theme to a standard theme like TwentyTwentyThree. If you see the options then it is because of something you have deactivated.
