Gutenberg cart block support?

  • The plugin description says this plugin supports WooCommerce blocks, but when I switch my cart page to a block-based one I get the warning “PayPal Gateway By Payment Plugins?does not yet support this block. This may impact the shopper experience.”. Did you just forget to remove this notification after adding blocks support or is the plugin description’s claim that it supports WC blocks inaccurate?

    We didn’t forget and our claim isn’t inaccurate, it’s an issue on the WooCommerce Blocks side of things. You can easily test and see that this plugin supports the cart and checkout block. It was probably the first PayPal plugin to support blocks.

    The notice happens because WooCommerce, for whatever reason, decided that the checkout block can’t have the same payment method twice. You will notice that payment methods that show up in the express payment methods section don’t show up in the payment method section. We found a way around that limitation, but that results in that annoying notice.

    That is great to know! But I think it should be made more clear in the plugin description. Like add “notices” that the notices can be ignored and that it will work just fine… ?? I was already looking for alternatives to this plugin because that notice makes it seem as if it’s incompatible with blocks.

    There don’t seem to be many out there. When looking at all the other PayPal plugins, they seem to have terrible reviews.
