Guide to what to turn off and on

    Hello

    I dont know coding, studied commerce not computers, no idea what a lot of features in the plugin even mean.

    I started using Litespeed server because it’s fast. Installed Litespeed cache because it’s good and simple to use. It was simple then, had 2-3 tabs I think in the plugin. Had near to no features to on and off.

    Now there’s too many on the level of w3 total cache and to a content creator with low website knowledge, it becomes stupidly confusing.

    I have a simple request. Can the support team or devs of this plugin post a guide which instructs what to turn on and off in the myriad tabs this plugin has?

    A guide(written/pictures showing on and off settings) aimed at users without much know how so that it enables them to use this plugin for all its intents and purposes at a bare minimum satisfactory and efficient level so that it provides them with better results than their current situation where they are stuck with using this highly customizable plugin at less than even rudimentary levels, scared to turn anything on and off in fear of messing something up.

    Hi, no1oppa.

    That’s a good suggestion. We are currently working on some comprehensive documentation, and I think a guide like that is a perfect addition to it.

    For now, though, I can tell you that you don’t have to touch any of those new features and settings if you don’t want to.

    The plugin ships with default settings that should be appropriate for most installations. All of the other bells and whistles are optional and are turned off by default. So feel free to ignore them.

    I’ve been working over the past few months to improve the wiki (remove outdated content, include explanations of all of the options, organize the content in a way that’s easier to find, etc.) As of now, it should all be up-to-date.

    Also, through our WordPress Wednesday blog series I’m aiming to demystify some of the more complicated settings, so if you haven’t seen that yet, you might want to see if anything there grabs you.

    Your setup looks good to me, and if it’s working for you, that’s really what matters.
    One easy suggestion would be to turn on browser caching support in the Cache tab.

    LiteSpeed Cache only caches the dynamic content (the pages that WordPress generates). If you enable browser caching, the static files on your site (things that rarely change, like images, Javascript, CSS, etc.) can be cached locally by the user’s browser.

    If your site is loading fine without any of the extra optimization features, then feel free to leave them as they are.
