guide to moving wordpress to another host?

    I have been looking for a guide to moving my hosted wordpress to another host.. i cant seem to find anything about it.

    I tried the export feature in the updated wordpress but my problem is that the categories are exported as new sequenced and not does not follow the original sequence breaking the older links..

    anyone have tips?
