GUID and recurring events

  • Would there be a way to make it so that each new recurring event has a unique GUID? Some RSS readers look at the title and GUID to determine duplicate posts, so even if the post date is new, the post is marked as a duplicate and not refreshed.

    Events Manager already creates unique ID’s for every event in the RSS feed. Look at lines 109-112 in events-manager > templates > ical.php

    I double checked it by downloading the feed and opening it in a plain text editor. ??

    So, there must be another reason they are marked as duplicate. Is the post content the same, maybe?
