Hi,
Special rates, seasonal rules and OBP + LOS pricing rules are only available in the paid version of the plugin, I’m sorry.
The answer to your question is no with the free version of the plugin, and yes, that’s indeed possible with the pro version, but please be aware of the fact that such a pricing configuration does not reflect any OpenTravel standard pricing model.
This means that if you wanted to push the same rates to OTAs like Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb etc.. by using our Vik Channel Manager plugin, you may not get the same exact rates for the following reasons:
– Assuming that €140 is the base nightly fee of your room/apartment for the minimum occupancy of two adults, in order to define a cost of €200 for 4 guests, you would need to define an OBP offset (Occupancy-Based-Pricing) with a charge of + € 60 for the occupancy of 4 adults.
– OBP offsets cannot really change from one date to another, as they are defined at room-level. Instead, on the weekend days you would like to charge 4 guests €70 more than the base occupancy of 2 guests. Instead, on week-days the OBP offset should be €60. That’s why most OTAs would only accept just one OBP offset.
– On your website with Vik Booking instead you can easily set this up through a simple Special Price rule that applies a charge of €30 per night on weekend days. This would produce a base nightly fee of €170 for 2 guests, and thanks to the Occupancy Overrides feature, you can override the default OBP offset of +60 to +70 for 4 adults, so that the nightly fee on weekend days for 4 guests will be €240 rather than €230.
Vik Booking fully supports any existing pricing model according to the OpenTravel standards. However, it comes with some useful features that extend the standard models, just like the OBP offsets overrides, but sometimes OTAs may not support such pricing alterations, and so you may get a slight difference of pricing of €10 in this example.
We hope this helps!
Best regards,
The VikWP Team
