  • Hello, I am in the process of building my blog at htp://www.beeginning.com. Currently I have not started advertising the site since I only have 2 full articles thus far. I have 5 more sample text articles that I intend on developing in the next few days and from there I will start advertising and hopefully getting readers. Any advice on this matter would be helpful.

  • The overall look of the site is pretty good. I like the whole idea behind your design.

    My major criticism would be the load times of the pages. You seem to be loading quite a bit of Javascript as well as quite a few stylesheets. You will have to try and optimize the speed of the pages.

    I spotted a typo on the left sidebar (catagories).

    How many articles are you planning to publish on your blog per week? Depending on the frequency on posting your blog entries you could promote the site early. I started to “promote” my site when I had 15 artciles: 10 pillar & 5 short.

    I hope this can help you in some way.

    David, thank you for following me on Twitter. I am very pleased to add you as a link to my site. Your posts and blogs are awesome. I am looking at finishing up at least 10 more articles before officially going live. If I do not get lazy I will finish that this weekend. I plan on writting about 2 to 4 articles per week depending on my workload at work. The bad thing is I have a thousand articles in my head but my fingers don’t type that fast. lol Take care.

    Arnold, I totally agree, I ran a site optimizer on the website and that is one f the downsides. I believe that it is the template that I am using that has the issues and would love to fix it. I am not new to the web but am fairly new to wordpress and using template scritps. Any suggestions on keeping the same template but combining javascripts and stylesheets to allow this page to load faster? Or should I just look for a similar template that has fewer scripts? I really think that the speed could be alot better. I have reduced the picture size to the smallest possible size and still have speed issues. Thank you in advance for your help.
