Guest checkout – what if browser window is closed?

    Hi,

    Sorry if this is a silly question…but can this plugin send emails to the customer in the guest scenarios below ?

    1. Customer adds items to cart, enters his email in the checkout page and then closes browser window without submitting the form?

    2. Customer adds items to cart, reaches checkout page and then closes the browser window without entering his email?

    Hi @eightsages,

    1. When the guest user closes the browser window by adding an item to cart and entering an email address on the checkout page then yes, our Abandoned Cart plugin does capture that email address and send a reminder email to that user.

    2. When the guest user adds an item to the cart and closes the browser window without entering an email address on the checkout page then our plugin considers that cart as Visitor cart and lists on our Abandoned Orders page. But our plugin will not send a reminder email to that user as we do not have his/her email address.
