Guest Author not shwoing where theme displays author

i’ve installed the plugin, created a guest author, and even chosen the guest author on the post, and tried putting the code in different files. but the theme still shows the original author. i am very confused why this plugin isnt working w/ my theme. its a dev site, but i can give a password and / or account.
