Hi, I have successfully installed Gtranslate, and I can see it both in a floating window and by adding the shortcode [gtranslate] anywhere in the content of the website. But when I do it in the header or footer, it doesn’t work, only the letters “[gtranslate]” appear.
My theme is Extendable, and I wouldn’t like to change it.
Thank you very much for the help

    Hi,

I’m not sure exactly what you are doing, but if you are changing header.php or footer.php you must use <?php echo do_shortcode('[gtranslate]'); ?>

If I misunderstood you, then you will need to connect with your theme developer and ask to enable the use of shortcodes in header, footer sections.

Alternatively you can use Wrapper CSS selector option in GTranslate settings page to render the language selector inside appropriate header, footer elements.

You did not post your website address, so I have no idea what you are trying to achieve. There are multiple ways to position the selector, you can find more information about it in Positioning tips section.

    Thanks! ??

First of all, thank you very much for your answer.

You are right, please find here the web: https://upplesgames.com/

As you can see I have just integrate by two ways:

1 – Like a floting window (it works great)

2- Like a shortcode in the header, but… it doesnt work, it only shows “[gtranslate]”

My intention is put it on the header please
