    Hi !

I’m using your GTM4WP plugin, which is really useful by the way, but the e-commerce tracking (gtm4wp.orderCompleted) doesn’t work anymore for about one month… See this screenshot I made of the statistics of my website :

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u1l-x3F5P0p4PM773bFdTz_CFXr77THh

It’s the same thing with my preprod and prod websites (which have different GTM ID), they both stoped to work around the 1st of February. However they were doing fine before…
The other functionalities of GTM are working properly, it’s the only one not working. But I don’t know where the problem comes from.

Hope you can answer this message.

    Best regards,

    Clara.

PS: I couldn’t send you my message through your website, I had a “Failed to send your message” error.

    Hello,
I got the same problem, and then realized the event is now called gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC, I changed it and it worked like a charm.

Wow, thank you very much, I will try right now !
How did you know the event name changed ? Where did you find the new name ?

    Hi Everyone,

gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC was introduced in v1.3 which is a quite old version of the plugin, my assumption is that maybe you had used the “Use RegExp” checkbox in the trigger settings which had affect on how GTM matches your input (gtm4wp.orderCompleted) with the actual event name (gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC)

Also gtm4wp.orderCompleted is still being used to differentiate between standard and enhanced ecommerce so if you migrate, you need to change this name as well.

But: all in all you should not rely on this event as this is a legacy event. Your GA pageview tag should collect transaction data on the order received page if you setup EEC according to the setup article:
    https://gtm4wp.com/how-to-articles/how-to-setup-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking

@mandowyn – thanks for jumping in to help!
@arbremojo – I am planning to replace Contact Form 7 on my site as without recaptcha it can collect a lot of spam but with recaptcha it can sometimes fail to send the message (my test message just now was delivered correctly)

    Hi Thomas,

The UseRegex checkbox wasn’t checked, but it didn’t work anyway. But it’s okay now, it works fine ! I was using gtm4wp.orderCompleted instead of gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC because I followed a French tutorial about GTM that was still using gtm4wp.orderCompleted, but I assume this tutorial wasn’t updated.

Thank you very much both of you for your replies,

    Best regards,

    Clara.

@arbremojo I used the Tag Manager preview mode which shows you, among other things, the differents events fired (see this picture)
I used the same french tutorial at first :p

    @duracelltomi You’re welcome ??
