Why doesn’t this plugin PULL the gtin from the WC product?

Why do you make a store owner “re enter” ALL the information for every product in to the new tab that this plugin creates?

Why doesn’t this plugin just get the existing product data?

OR is there a simple way to make that happen?

NOTE: everything else is working great (it even updates Google Merchant Center feed) when you click the “show and sync”…. NICE!!!

BUT ALSO, please create a filter or search filter… so you can find products… as right now, you have to scroll through many, many, many products just to find the one you are looking for.

    thanks

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about this issue.

I understand the GTIN [gtin] are not pulled out.

Before moving forward can you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback you shared. As mentioned the GTIN number isn’t mapped automatically from default WooCommerce data. The initial reason why this isn’t mapped is because the WooCommerce default data only contains a SKU field which isn’t always identical to a GTIN number.

Having said that it is one of the most requested features: https://woocommerce.com/feature-request/add-attribute-mapping-to-google-listings-and-ads-setting-page/
It is something we are currently working on to make easier to map the data from various sources. Although we don’t have a specific timeline when it will be ready.

In regards to the product search, I assume you are referring to the issues table on the Product Feed page, is that correct? This sounds like a great idea it would be helpful if you could request this as a feature here: https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/google-listings-and-ads/
This helps us gauge the amount of interest so we can correctly prioritize them.

    Regards,
    Michael
