Hi @axeldelat and thanks for opening a support topic. Have you since managed to resolve this issue? I ask as when checking your site I can see that the Analytics tag is firing on your site as I would expect. I checked this from https://tagassistant.google.com/ and could see everything working as I would expect it to.

I can still see that you are manually placing the Analytics code yourself which is fine and Site Kit looks like it was picking that up from the recording you shared.

So I can’t see any issues here. Please let me know if you have any further questions on your Site Kit setup or if you have any issues.

Yeah, we are currently running a campaign to the site, so we had to figure an alternative to inserting the GA4 script. But we thought this was a bug or something, because as you can see in this additional videohttps://komododecks.com/recordings/iwByYcYtoCRrAni62YEu?uploadId=PvFTaxTdajZxQT4odbi4

Debugging the feature, it does not seem to actually work now. And looking at other users it seems to actually be something more than an user is experiencing.

@axeldelat Glad to hear you have found a workaround. As mentioned above, I don’t see any issues on the Site Kit side of things. The issue you have recorded is with the Analytics platform “test your site” option for your Analytics property.

I have performed a test with this on one of our sites with Site Kit placing the Analytics code and didn’t encounter the same issue as you. It’s possible that when you choose for Site Kit to place your Analytics code that there is a third party plugin that is altering that code or there could be a wider plugin conflict that could cause issues with this so that might be worth testing. We do have troubleshooting steps to check for such conflicts so feel free to try these out.

We are limited to Site Kit support so if you are having issues with the Analytics platform then I’d suggest reaching out to the Analytics Help Center for more help with this. If you have any questions or issues with Site Kit then please let me know and I will be happy to help with those.
