GSC says “Can’t index” but Rank Math has been set to Index

    On a separate note, is there any reason why you want to index your tags as it is not advised because it could lead to thin/duplicate content pages?

    You would want to utilize your crawl budget effectively.

    On newer sites, where the articles are not published in 10+/day and have over 1k articles, we recommend not to index category or tag pages as they are nothing but duplicate content on your site.

    It is best if your articles are discovered via single URLs from the Sitemap file.

    Indexing categories or tags should only be done if someone knows what they are doing. If you are sure you know that will help you, you can index them.
