    Hi team,

In GSC, I received this error message: The tag’ a’, a child tag of ‘AMP-STORY-GRID-LAYER animate-in,’ does not satisfy the reference point ‘AMP-STORY-GRID-LAYER animate-in.’ and the disallow attribute or attribute value present in the HTML tag.”`I checked my Cloudflare settings and I don’t have the “Amp Real URL” settings turned on, nor do the web stories on my staging site have this issue, so I don’t think this is a plugin conflict.

Do you mind taking a look and letting me know what you think?

    Best,
    Chynna

    Hi Adam,

I have filled out the form with the Site Health information.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best,
    Chynna

@chynnad thanks very much for providing this information. I can see that you have several plugins active on your site which leads me to believe that this is being caused by a plugin conflict.

If you could follow the steps below then this would help to identify any potential plugin or theme conflict if there is one.

Use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.

    • Please enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if you still get the issue.
    • Enable plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
    • Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.

Please let me know how you get on with this or if you have any further questions.

    Hi Adam,

I thought it was a plugin conflict, too, but when I started testing on my staging site, the error when away. This leads me to believe that there might be something going on that isn’t the result of a plugin conflict.

    Chynna

@chynnad Is your staging site a direct clone of your live site or have you made changes to one of the sites?

If possible it would be very helpful if you could try the healthcheck and troubleshooting plugin steps because then we can rule this out and look at next steps.

    Hi Adam,

The staging site is a direct clone of the live site that I created to troubleshoot this issue. I have sent over the site health form for the staging site.

    Best,
    Chynna

@chynnad Thanks for providing the staging site details I can see that these match the live site. While I would still encourage trying the healthcheck plugin (which won’t affect how users see your website), this looks like it could be a hosting issue.

I would advise checking with your hosting provider that there are no hosting firewall or blocking issues on their side for your live site. They will be able to check both live and staging sites and compare to see if anything is different.

Please do let me know if they cannot find anything and we can continue to troubleshoot your issue.

@chynnad Checking in here – were you able to get this resolved? Please let us know if you’re still having trouble and we can take another look. Thanks!

Yup we were able to get this resolved today. There was a plugin conflict with WP External Links. I’m not sure why I couldn’t see the error on the staging site but I’m happy we got it fixed.

    Thanks,
    Chynna

@chynnad Glad to hear that! Feel free to create a new topic if you have any other questions about Web Stories.
