Hello, Google Search console report crawl issues with several pages with a URL like https://www.exampel.cz/?attachment_id=xxx… I can see in when logged-in, it is a “media page”, eg not the photo as such, but the “media page” When viewed as Google or a logged out reader, it logically goes to 404 error…
I did not change setting for years, so I am bit puzzled why should it be happening right now…
And yes, the plugin shows the URL in sitemap, but why? And how to change it? Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’m guessing that you have the “Redirect attachments to parent post” setting enabled (in the General Settings menu) and that you several images that are unattached (in other words: no longer appearing in any posts/pages).

We have an open issue for this on GitHub and will improve the behaviour for this kind of scenario in the future. In the meanwhile, I’d recommend you to either exclude Media/Attachments from your sitemap (which is what we recommend), disable the aforementioned setting or else find these specific images in your Media Library and delete them.

Thank you for your reply! Well, the “Redirect attachments to parent post” was switched off, so I excluded Media/Attachments from my sitemap… Thank you again!
