GSC can’t read my sitemap

    Hi,

    I’ve successfully submitted my sitemap and resubmitted it last week to the GSC but the last read is still Oct 25, 2022, and Oct 22, 2022.
    Do you know why Google can’t read my Yoast sitemap?
    Also, there are no discovered pages as well.

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap. First, we always recommend submitting only the /sitemap_index.xml/ since that contains the child sitemaps.

    Your screenshot shows the sitemap was submitted successfully with no issues. You’d have to allow Google some time to process the sitemap as it’s not instant; no one knows the definite time it takes. Also, what you see in the Google Search Console is not real-time results.

    Do you know why it takes so long? Because my other websites don’t have this issue, is something blocking my sitemap?

    As I mentioned, Google does not state when or how long they are going to take to crawl a site/sitemap. I recommended posting a question in the?Google Search Central Help Community.
