Grow Social Pro 2.13 Disastrously Slow

  • For my host’s tech support team:

    “It looks like there are quite a few database queries being generated when loading up the homepage. Most notably, the plugin social-pug looks to be generating a number of duplicate queries and on its own is adding nearly 2 full seconds to the page load. It looks like there may be an update available for this plugin. If this update doesn’t offer much improvement, it may be worth touching base with their support team regarding the duplicate queries and extra overhead this plugin is causing as they may have some tips for optimizing these queries a bit.”

    I don’t find an update. I used to get an A on GTMatrix, now I’m down to a C and I believe this is the cause.
