Groups Members lists won't use real name setting – any fixes at this stage?

just wondering if there’s a fix or hack to get this working on the list of a groups members. Working great in other areas already. I see there’s a tickets about this from a year ago, just wondering if there’s since been a solution found?Many thanks,
