We have come up with a solution that will work for your implementation. Buddypress includes a hook ‘bp_before_directory_groups’ that will allow us to inject content with rps-include content (or other methods).

The most efficient and future-proof way to accomplish this is to create a child theme for your active theme, Suffusion, and build a function that outputs the result of the rps-include shortcode using the aforementioned hook.

We did test out the solution and have setup a child theme for you with the appropriate function and also a stylesheet override that provides necessary padding under the included content so that the group search form does not collide with it.
