• I’ve just set up Email Subscribers and for some reason all new subscribers are automatically put into a group called “Test”. I’ve created another group called “Subscribers” but the “Test” group still seems to be the default for new request coming in.

Please can you advise how to remove the “test” group and set the default?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

If you are using the Email Subscribers widget please change the group into the widget to the new group you have created.

In case you are using the shortcode [email-subscribers namefield=”YES” desc=”” group=”Public”] , here Public is the group name you can replace this with your group name which will resolve your issue.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

I have already changed the group in the Widget to “Subscribers” but new subscribers are being added to the group “Test”?

    Hi,

It is possible that you are using the shortcode which has the group name as Test assigned to it. Can you check that once?

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please share your website/webpage URL with us via this link so that we may look into the issue and help you further on this.

    Hi Aditya,

I’m not using any shortcodes, just the Widget. The form is called “Subscribe to Updates” and is in the right hand sidebar.

    Thanks

This seems to be a very strange issue in that case.
