Groups..??

    ok i must be a complete noob.. but can someone explain to me where is the group creation? im trying to make a sports website..

    and the same 2 or 3 things keep stopping me from being finished..

    number 1 is the Group creation page.. some Themes have it some dont..

    number 2 is a header support.. ok fine i can get over not using my own header and just making a Logo.

    number 3 is a group PROFILE page. this seems to be lacking in every theme.

    so 1 thing at a time..

    is a group creation something i have to make myself? or is it just simply some themes have it and some dont..

    and if not, then how do i find only the themes that do support the creation of groups?

    i like the Speed theme but its impossible for new people to use… the instructions are ..well there really arent any.

  • ‘groups’ is rarely a theme thing

    it would be a plugin thing….

    im already using buddypress.. im asking do i have to download a specific “BUDDYPRESS” theme to use groups or cant regular wordpress do it?

    You failed to mention that you were using buddypress in your OP

    Buddypress enabled themes give you maximum functionality related to buddypress functions

    Some/most themes don’t work with buddypress by default

    ‘Groups’ is not a WordPress function, it is specific to BuddyPress

    attempts to ‘fix’ non buddypress themes, I haven’t played with it in ages tho

    Basically, if you are not using a buddypress theme, there are things you may have to fix

    also if you happen to know of a nice sports template that allows group creation i will personally send you 5 bucks.
