Grouping Products by different Sellers

  • Hello,
    I wanted to know if there exists a solution to group a set of products by a particular seller. For example John sells product X, Y and Z and Paul sells product A, B, C. It would be nice to group products A, B, C under a seller group “Paul” for example. I’m searching for a way to track the total amount ($) sold by John and Paul separately. The only way I see is to track individual products by SKU which doesn’t help. ??

    Any solutions? If not is there plans for such a feature soon? Thank you.

    No solutions ? ?? I’d love to be a contributor and help with this feature. I think the idea can be accomplished. It would involve adding a new section under “Add a Product” where users can create a Seller Group and assign a product to that Seller Group. Then Reports could be generated from the Reports section for a particular Seller Group detailing total products sold for a period.

    Any thoughts at all I would appreciate it.

    Why can’t you just group them by product category? Make a category of a seller and put only the products that belong to that seller in that category. Isn’t that grouping?

    And if you want to see the sales for that particular group, just create a custom WP Query to pull that information. You can essentially make that into a plugin if you need that information all the time.

    So, you don’t want to control how they display on the site, you want a sales report?
