Grouped product variants image gallery

So my site uses grouped product for variants, e.g. as seen in link. Atm there is image gallery set for the grouped product, and as expected after chosing a variant only one thumbnail will be pulled from selected variant. I wonder if it’s possible to pull all the images from the variant child product and/or add separate image gallery for each of products so that when choosing specific variants, all of the photos for the product would change? Or is there no way to make it work with more than one image except of custom coding it?
