Is there a current feature or future feature where a user can create a group titled (Short Story Authors) and invite members to the group…then allow the members of that group to write posts that belong only in that group for other members to read?

    Hello @jmonroe,

ProfileGrid extension “Frontend Group Creator” allows user to create the group from front end and administrator may enable the settings to make that user group manager of created group. For more information on this extension, please visit the link: https://profilegrid.co/create-new-wordpress-groups/

Once user becomes Group Manager, he may invite other users to join group using the extension “Advances group Manager” from front end. For more information on this extension, please visit the link:https://profilegrid.co/multi-group-users-and-group-manager/

ProfileGrid extension “Group Wall” adds the social activity to your groups. Group members can create new posts, comment on other users’ posts and browse Group timeline. Group Wall is accessible from Group page as a new tab. For more details, please visit the link: https://profilegrid.co/how-allow-user-to-submit-post-and-upload-media-to-their-group-walls/

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for this information. It was definitely helpful. Now only if ProfileGrid would offer styling of blogs like USP does…I would use PG solely for my site.

2nd thought on this. You should set the plugin where the group creator is automatically set as the group admin. That way it works on a more automated level. This would be much better for sites like mine. Manually setting users as an admin can be tedious and overwhelming once many groups are created.
