It looks like the devs have abandoned these forums but I’ll give it a shot anyway.

I really like these themes and get a lot of mileage out of them but there is one issue that is driving me up the wall and it’s the need for this “sticky” everything. Can’t yall just make a theme that just scrolls together? Why does everything need to do doggie tricks and cartwheels? Just load the whole page and scroll it all at the same time.

Now, the question…HOW specifically do I make that stop? I want the whole page to scroll at the same time. I don’t want sticky menus, sidebars, posts or footers. I want, when I move the scroll bar, the entire page moves. I don’t want the menu to stop and have the page scroll up under it.

I’ve disabled that godawdul theiasticky menu but it’s not doing anything about the rest of it.

Maybe just once, you can make a great theme like GridMag without that stuff.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Many users like to have sticky header or sticky menu or sticky sidebars in their websites. That’s why we have included that features.

GridMag free version does not has theme options to disable sticky menu and stick sidebars without editing theme codes. I will try to add that options with next updates.

    Thanks.

Wow, did not expect any reply. Thanks for that so quickly.

I’m using the free gridmag theme. I will edit the code, just need to know where exactly it needs to be edited and what to put there. Thanks!

For the record, the tricks and spinning and twirling is unprofessional. People might like it because it’s cute but clients do not and they always want that to stop as much as I do. I love these themes. I use them quite a bit. GridMag and TidyMag are my favorites. I made it stop on TidyMag but the same code doesn’t work on GridMag or GridWP…which is why I am asking for this one. I figure it’ll be the same since they look the same.

Nevermind. I got it with position:static!important on the menu. Now it’s all scrolling together. I wasn’t overriding the current position. Marking it as resolved.

Thanks for the quick response all the same.
