Grid Post widget showing incorrect categories

    I just noticed this issue within the last couple of days, but it could have been going on for much longer. It’s happening across our whole website, wherever we’re using the grid post widget. I have specific categories of posts selected, but on the front-end it shows a completely different category of post.

    This is a HUGE problem, as many of our landing pages (including our homepage) use this widget. Please help!

    I can confirm there is an issue with the following plugin widget.

    Posts Widget (Display a list of your most recent posts in a beautiful layout. Powered by Otter.)

    I rolled back to the previous release to correct the issue.

    In my experience, the posts widget displays all posts even though specific categories are chosen for display. They appear correct in the WordPress Admin. But shows all content on the front-end of the website.

    To temporarily solve this issue, I rolled back to Version 2.4.1 from Version 2.5.0.

    Thank you, I rolled back and that did seem to fix the issue for now.

    We just did a release that fixes this issue. Please update to 2.5.1 and it should start working as before.
